(Kahane and other Jewish Defense League members are arrested on illegal weapons charges and bomb possession. Police also suspect Rabbi Kahane's involvement in a series of previous bombings at Soviet installations. Kahane denies all charges but is sentenced on 23 July 1971 to five years' imprisonment, suspended, and a $5,000 fine. These events and court trial do not mellow Kahane's virulent rhetoric but hasten his departure to Israel where his animosity finds its new focus on the Palestinians)

Mossad in New Zealand fraud
Six Mossad agents, including two women, are captured by Norwegian authorities while the rest of the team flees assisted by Norwegian intelligence services. Mossad agents Dan Ert (Ærbel) and Marianne Gladnikoff had rented cars in their own name and were arrested when they returned the cars. Under interrogation, they provided the address of a Mossad safe house and four other agents are arrested. One member of the hit squad, Sylvia Raphael, was using the identity of Canadian Patricia Roxborough, a legal secretary whose passport had been stolen months earlier from the desk of her Montreal office. She is arrested with Abraham Gehmer. (Mossad assassination squads known as kidon, routinely use the identity of real people who are unaware their names are being used).
Five agents are convicted 1 February 1974 (Dorf acquitted) and later sentenced to prison terms ranging from two and a half to five years but all are released within 22 months and deported to Israel. Under interrogation Dan Ærbel leaks information about the Israeli nuclear weapons program but the Norwegian authorities decided not to disclose it.
(In 1994 the Norwegian government is advised that the widow of Bouchikhi had not received any compensation from Norway or any other country. This leads to Norwegian diplomatic contact with Israel on the issue and in 1996 the Israeli government pays compensation equal to US$283,000 split between Bouchiki's wife and daughter, and a separate settlement of US$118,000 to his son from a previous marriage, but has never admitted responsibility for Bouchiki's vicious murder. It took Israel 23 years to do so and only after Norway put pressure on Israel. Without this Norwegian initiative, Israel would probably not have given compensation).
The Lillehammer affair is considered the first terrorist act on Norwegian soil in the post-war period.

1977
In Israel – CLAUDE KLEIN, Director of the Institute of Comparative Law of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, writes –
"If the Jewish people are easily the most numerous in the State of Israel, by the same token, one can still say that the entire population of the State of Israel is not Jewish, as the country has a sizeable non-Jewish minority, mainly Arab and Druze. The question which must be asked is to what extent the existence of a Law of Return which favours the immigration of one part of the population (defined by its religious and ethnic adherence), cannot be regarded as discriminatory" and concludes that because it is not specifically directed against non-Jews it is therefore not discriminatory.
(Published as: The Jewish Character of the State of Israel, Ed.Cujas, Paris 1977).
Discrimination
not discriminatory?!
  DAVID
JC IRVING, an admirer of HITLER, quotes (in defending Hitler from Holocaust accusations) in a footnote at page 851 of this year's edition of Hitler's War, a passage extracted from notes made by VON RIBBENTROP while held in the prison at Nuremberg:
"...that [Hitler] ordered [the destruction of the Jews] I refuse to believe, because such an act would be wholly incompatible with the picture I always had of him".
However, IRVING chooses to deliberately omit the immediately following passage in VON RIBBENTROP's notes which reads –
"On the other hand, judging from [Hitler's] Last Will, one must suppose that he at least knew about it, if, in his fanaticism against the Jews, he didn't also order [it]".
(An indefensibly false editing by IRVING – See April 2000.)

At the beach landing, American nature photographer GAIL RUBIN is shot dead to prevent her disclosure of their presence. After hijacking a taxi and opening fire on passing traffic, the attack becomes a hostage situation of 71 persons after the hijacking of two busses in succession and transfer of all from the first bus to the second.
Near Herzliya, Israeli forces stop the bus approaching Tel Aviv and during the ensuing shoot-out the bus explodes. Ten militants, including MUGHRABI, one Israeli policeman and 38 hostages are killed in the shoot-out and subsequent explosion, and 72 are wounded, including one militant.
It is reported that EHUD BARAK who headed the Israeli reaction, was seen firing bullets into the corpse of MUGHRABI. The Guardian newspaper later reports that during the shoot-out, DALAL MUGHRABI had raised the Palestinian flag and

Affirming once more that the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949 1/ is applicable to the Arab territories occupied by Israel since 1967, including Jerusalem,

Birzeit, near Ramallah, Palestine – Israel closes Birzeit University campus by military order for two weeks. This is the first of many military ordered closures. (Between 1979 and 1992, the University is closed 60% of the time. The 15th and last closure lasted for 51 months, from January 10, 1988 until April 29, 1992. During this prolonged closure, the University continued to operate underground with small study groups in makeshift arrangements outside the campus. The order affects Birzeit as well as all other higher educational institutions in the occupied territories.
But it triggers so much local and international condemnation and outrage that it is rescinded shortly afterwards. (However, between 1980-82 the University is closed by Israel four times for more than 8 months).

As before, the world still waits for the implemetation of this resolution!
The failure of which continues to feed terrorist violence internationally...

March 1: In New York – The United Nations Security Council unanimously passes Resolution 465, which reads –
The Security Council,
Taking note of the reports of the Commission of the Security Council established under resolution 446 (1979) to examine the situation relating to settlements in the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem, contained in documents S/13450 and Corr. 1 and S/13679,
Taking note also of letters from the Permanent Representative of Jordan (S/13801) and the Permanent Representative of Morocco, Chairman of the Islamic Group (S/13802),
Strongly deploring the refusal by Israel to co-operate with the Commission and regretting its formal rejection of resolutions 446 (1979) and 452 (1979),
Affirming once more that the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949 is applicable to the Arab territories occupied by Israel since 1967, including Jerusalem,
Deploring the decision of the Government of Israel to officially support Israeli settlement in the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since 1967,
Deeply concerned over the practices of the Israeli authorities in implementing that settlement policy in the occupied Arab territories, including Jerusalem, and its consequences for the local Arab and Palestinian population,
Taking into account the need to consider measures for the impartial protection of private and public land and property, and water resources,
Bearing in mind the specific status of Jerusalem and, in particular, the need for protection and preservation of the unique spiritual and religious dimension of the Holy Places in the city,
Drawing attention to the grave consequences which the settlement policy is bound to have on any attempt to reach a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East,
Recalling pertinent Security Council resolutions, specifically resolutions 237 (1967) of 14 June 1967, 252 (1968) of 21 May 1968, 267 (1969) of 3 July 1969, 271 (1969) of 15 September 1969 and 298 (1971) of 25 September 1971, as well as the consensus statement made by the President of the Security Council on 11 November 1976,

5.
Determines that all measures taken by Israel to change the physical character, demographic composition, institutional structure or status of the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem, or any part thereof, have no legal validity and that Israel's policy and practices of settling parts of its population and new immigrants in those territories constitute a flagrant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and also constitute a serious obstruction to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East;
6.
Strongly deplores the continuation and persistence of Israel in pursuing those policies and practices and calls upon the Government and people of Israel to rescind those measures, to dismantle the existing settlements and in particular to cease, on an urgent basis, the establishment, construction and planning of settlements in the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem;
7.
Calls upon all States not to provide Israel with any assistance to be used specifically in connection with settlements in the occupied territories;
8.
Requests the Commission to continue to examine the situation relating to [Jewish] settlements in the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem, to investigate the reported serious depletion of natural resources, particularly the water resources, with a view to ensuring the protection of those important natural resources of the territories under occupation, and to keep under close scrutiny the implementation of the present resolution;
9.
Requests the Commission to report to the Security Council before 1 September 1980, and decides to convene at the earliest possible date thereafter in order to consider the report and the full implementation of the present resolution.

"This court does take judicial notice of the fact that Jews were gassed to death at Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Poland during the summer of 1944. It is not reasonably subject to dispute. And it is capable of immediate and accurate determination by resort to sources of reasonably indisputable accuracy. It is simply a fact." (c356542). (Emphasis mine).

14: Prime Minister of Israel, MENACHEM BEGIN, claims the Golan Heights of Syria as Israel's territory, and passes its Golan Heights Law. The legislation, extending Israeli law to the area of the Golan Heights is adopted by the Knesset with a majority of 63 to 21. In presenting the law, Prime Minister BEGIN states that the time had come to implement the government's annexing of the Golan Heights, justifying it by Syria's hostility to Israel, and the recent deployment of Syrian missiles on Lebanese soil. The law is condemned internationally and ruled as null and void by the UN Security Council (Resolution 497).
(In 2008, a plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly, although having no binding legal power in its recommendations, continued to reaffirm support for this resolution, voted by 161-1 in favour of a motion on the "occupied Syrian Golan" that reaffirmed support for Security Council motion 497).

February: In Jerusalem, Israel – The Department of Publicity of The World Zionist Organization, publishes 'A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties' by ODED YINON in their Journal for Judaism and Zionism (Editor Yoram Beck); Issue No, 14 – Winter, 5742, which reads in paragraph 18 –
"[Regaining] the Sinai peninsula with its present and potential resources is therefore a political priority which is obstructed by the Camp David and the peace agreements. The fault for that lies of course with the present Israeli government and the governments which paved the road to the policy of territorial compromise, the Alignment governments since 1967. The Egyptians will not need to keep the peace treaty after the return of the Sinai, and they will do all they can to return to the fold of the Arab world and to the USSR in order to gain support and military assistance. American aid is guaranteed only for a short while, for the terms of the peace and the weakening of the U.S. both at home and abroad will bring about a reduction in aid. Without oil and the income from it, with the present enormous expenditure, we will not be able to get through 1982 under the present conditions and we will have to act in order to return the situation to the status quo which existed in Sinai prior to Sadat's visit and the mistaken peace agreement signed with him in March 1979." (In Hebrew, translated by Prof. Shahak, emphasis mine).

New York, USA – American-born fascist Jew JONATHAN JAY POLLARD, while employed by the American Naval Intelligence Service, begins spying for Israel on American secrets at a monthly retainer of $1500 from the Israeli secret service via their agent Aviem Sella (אביאם סלע). Later from NIS headquarters in Suitland, Maryland (in complicity with his wife Anne Henderson), POLLARD betrays US secrets, such as the latest version of Radio-Signal Notations (RASIN, a 10-volume manual comprehensively detailing America's global electronic surveillance network), and many thousands of other highly classified documents. He subsequently also passes information to South Africa's secret service, and attempts to sell classified information through a third party to Pakistan.
(After discovery of Pollard's betrayal, a US investigative delegation travels to Israel for debriefing but is continually given the run-around and abused. Until 1998, Israel insists [lies] that its espionage was not authorized and was conducted by 'rogue' agents. In September 2009 Israel's State Comptroller states in a report that Jonathan Pollard had been 'denied due legal process' in the United States).

Bhopal Gas Victim

Six safety measures designed to prevent a gas leak had either malfunctioned, were turned off or were otherwise inadequate. In addition, the safety siren, intended to alert the community should an incident occur at the plant, was turned off.
Warren Anderson(A 1982 safety audit of the Bhopal plant by its American parent identified 30 major hazards but these were corrected only at company's identical plant in the US. Neglecting these hazards in Bhopal caused the deadly explosion.)
CEO WARREN ANDERSON is arrested but violates his bail and flees to America which refuses India's requests for his extradition. The tragedy has subsequently claimed more than 15,000-20,000 lives. (See Bhopal Justice).
