Sunday 5: In Tel Aviv, Israel – More than 10 000 African refugees (asylum seekers) who entered Israel illegally through Egypt stage a protest denouncing Israel's long-term detention of illegal immigrants. Under legislation passed on 10 December, Israel can detain illegal immigrants indefinitely without trial, pending voluntary repatriation, implementation of deportation orders or resolution of their asylum requests.
The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) states that Israel's incarceration of migrants causes "hardship and suffering" and is "not in line with" a 1951 world treaty on the treatment of refugees.

Tuesday 7: In West Bank, Palestine – Jewish setters from the illegal Esh Kodesh Jewish settlement outpost, angry because the Israeli army had demolished an olive grove which they had illegally planted, provoke a clash with Palestinians by entering the Palestinian village of Qusra (some of them masked). The Palestinians then take 11 of the Jewish settlers hostage, and the Israeli army intervenes to free them.
Israel's Army Radio describes injuries as 'slight'.
Jewish Fascist activity
properties are often targeted by Jewish extremists who carry out "price tag" attacks (usually for state action against their unauthorised settlement activity in the West Bank). Jewish Price-Tag perpetrators also often target Muslim and Christian sites as well as Arab property within Israel and the West Bank.
Israel's Military Cover-up
Wednesday 8: In Jerusalem, Israel – Israel's government releases a report of its military weapons exports on the recipients of Israeli arms sales over the past two years, but according to UN data at least 20 countries that have purchased weapons from Israel in this time are missing from Israel's Defense Ministry report.
In the
Netherlands – PGGM, largest of the Dutch pension fund giants, announces it will divest from Israeli banks:
Bank Hapoalim;   Bank Leumi;
Bank Mizrahi-Tefahot;   Israel Discount Bank;
and First International Bank of Israel
because they operate branches in the Occupied Palestinian West Bank
and are involved in financing construction in illegal Jewish settlements.
PGGM informed the Israeli banks that its stand is based on the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice in The Hague in 2004, that Jewish settlements in occupied Palestinian territory violate Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention and so are all illegal. Article 49 states that:
— "The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies." —

19, At the Turkish-Syrian border – Three trucks pass through the Ceyhan toll gates carrying weapons and explosives to al-Qa'eda in Syria in six metallic containers.
The first container has 25-30 missiles or rockets and 10-15 crates loaded with ammunition; the second contains 20-25 missiles or rockets, 20-25 crates of mortar ammunition and Douchka anti-aircraft ammunition in five or six sacks are discovered. The boxes have markings in the Cyrillic alphabet (probably Russian).
The governor of Adana, Huseyin Avni Cos, arrives at the search scene and declares that "the trucks are moving with the prime minister’s orders" and vows not to let them be interfered with no matter what by border security.
A driver Murat Kislakci reports, "This cargo was loaded into our trucks from a foreign airplane at Ankara Esenboga Airport. We are taking them to Reyhanli [on the Syrian border].

Israel's Security Fence accommodates
Jewish settlers in the West Bank
West Bank, Palestine – Israel's Security Fence, planned to be 815-kilometer (506-mile), is now almost three times as long as the 1967 so-called Green Line, which indicates that its objective is more than security but also to annex territory outside of Israel’s sovereign pre-1967 area.

Friday 24: In Palestine – Jewish settlers of Carmel drive three Palestinian shepherds of Umm al-Kheir (14, 18 and 25 years-old) and their sheep – off their traditional grazing land.
Three members of Rabbis for Human Rights joined the Palestinian shepherds. When sheep owner Maliha arrives and asks why the Jewish settlers are driving her sheep away she is struck viciously in the head by Jewish settler Ezer and falls loosing consciousness. Maliha is taken home, a Red Crescent ambulance arrives, the paramedics examine her but at her request she is not taken to the hospital. In Palestine –
Two Palestinian soccer-players (Jawhar Nasser Jawhar, 19, and Adam Abd al-Raouf Halabiya, 17) on their way home from a soccer practice at the Faisal al-Husseini Stadium are fired upon by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint, deliberately maiming their feet (ten bullets are put into Jawhar’s feet. Adam took one bullet in each foot), and are then mauled by checkpoint dogs and beaten.
After being transferred from a hospital in Ramallah to King Hussein Medical Center in Amman, Jordan, they are informed that they will never be able to play soccer again. (Israel’s border patrol excuses its actions by alleging that the two young men were about to throw a bomb, although no bomb was found. and they were only shot in their feet).
Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, Jibril al-Rajoub, commented that
the Palestinian national football team's problems are rooted in "the {Israeli) Occupation’s insistence on destroying Palestinian sport".

27: In Israel – Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (PHR-Israel, non-profit, non-governmental organization that strives to promote a more fair and inclusive society in which the right to health is applied equally for all) receive a letter from Israel's Tax Authority declining renewal of their registration as a public institution under Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance, and which could seriously damage their donor base. PHR-Israel understands this as discrimination because of them not being aligned with Israel's biased government policies. They describe it as –
"...another example of the attempts by the State of Israel
to damage activity promoting human rights and social justice in Israel..."

Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notifies Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Israel of six V-22 Ospreys and other associated equipment (radar, missile warning systems, radios, night vision goggles, navigation systems) worth a reported $1.13 billion (presumably in terms of an April 2013 announcement by U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, that the United States had reached a reported $10 billion arms sales agreement with Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates that presumably would further enhance each country’s respective deterrent against Iran).
This is the first time any foreign country would be permitted to purchase this US advanced tilt-rotor aircraft.

Tuesday 4: In Israel – OMAR SAAD (18) Palestinian musician of the Arab Druze community from Mghar, a village in the Galil, is sentenced to 20 days imprisonment for his refusal to serve in the Israeli army. This is the fourth time that Saad is sentenced to jail terms for refusing to serve in Israel's army, he will serve his prison term in military prison No. 6 near Atlit. Saad and other objectors of conscience are no longer allowed to be visited by civilian lawyers during their incarcerations terms in military prisons.
The Israeli army claims that civilian lawyers are not certified to enter military prisons.

Saad had written –
"I could not imagine myself wearing the military uniform and participating in suppressing my Palestinian people, and fighting my Arab brothers. I reject enlisting to the Israeli army or to any other army, because of national and moral reasons. I hate oppression, and I reject occupation. ... I am sure that you will try to put obstacles in front of my human ambitions, but I say it in a loud voice: I am Omar Zahreddeen Saad, I will not be a victim of your wars, and I will not be a soldier in your army."
mobilization orders have now been sent by Israel's army to all Druze Israeli citizens of deployment age.
The Druze Arab community in Israel/Palestine object to –
1.  fighting their own Palestinian people; and
2.  demand to be treated the same as the rest of the Palestinian Arab community in Israel.
Red Cross Aid Stopped

Wednesday 5: In West Bank, Palestine – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) suspends distribution of tents and shelter materials to Palestinian victims of Israeli home demolitions in the occupied West Bank’s Jordan Valley because Israeli occupation forces are habitually destroying or confiscating them.

See: Wednesday 12 January
A parliamentary
committee in Israel developing a universal military service bill passes a clause that would allow criminal penalties on non-compliant ultra-Orthodox/Haredi Jews who refuse to report for military duty.
Thursday 6: In Jerusalem, Israel – Hundreds of ultra-Orthodox/Haredi Jews blocked highways and clashed with police in protest at an Israeli government court-backed decision to cut funds to Jewish seminary students who thereby avoid military service. Ultra-Orthodox protest turns violent. Some 35 are arrested.
Zbeidat Village, Jordan Valley, West Bank, Palestine – The Israeli Army destroys 120 date trees belonging to Hassan Germi with two bulldozers; trees vital to Hassan and the local Palestinian economy. The destruction of the trees on Hassan’s farm follows a demolition order from the Army issued a year before, in which they claimed his land for the Jewish settlement of Argaman – land Hassan had farmed for 10 years, only 10 metres from his home.
The World
Bank reports that Israel is destroying the Palestinian economy either by plundering Palestinian natural resources for itself or by making them inaccessible to Palestinians through movement restrictions and classifying their areas as military zones. An example is the Meged-5 oil field which actually straddles the so-called Green Line but which Israel by it's Security Wall is in the process of annexing.
The Palestinians located their own significant gas field undersea off the coast of Gaza in 1999
It should be noted that 60% of the gas reserves along the Gaza-Israel coastline belong to Palestine. The British Gas Group drilled two wells in 2000: Gaza Marine-1 and Gaza Marine-2. Reserves are estimated by British Gas to be of the order of 1.4 trillion cubic feet, valued at approximately 4 billion dollars. These are the figures made public by British Gas. The size of Palestine’s gas reserves could be much larger. In 2000, then Palestinian President Yasser Arafat stated that the Gaza gas field –
"will provide a solid foundation for our economy, for establishing an independent state"
however, Israel has repeatedly blocked any efforts to extract the gas, arguing that the profits would be used to fund terrorism.
Instead, the Palestinians have continued to be dependent on Israel for meeting their energy requirements.

Thursday 6: In the USA – The Walt Disney Corporation fires Wael Mansour, the Egyptian voice actor performing Donald Duck for Disney's Arab broadcasts, for his anti-Israeli tweets in August 2013 –
"I truly wish #Israel is demolished, I hate Zionism,
I have so much hate inside me with every single child they murder or land they seize!"
expressing his feelings on Israel's zionist aggression and wishing for the destruction of such a political state, which simply echoes the general feelings of his Arab audience on these issues throughout the Middle East.
Disney's Zionist Prejudice
Monday 24: In an interview with Al-Monitor, Meretz Knesset member ILAN GILON makes the dubious claim that most of the Jewish settlers in the Palestinian West Bank are motivated by affordable housing, not by Zionist ideology, and so will agree to return to Israel if they are offered compensation.
"I say it’s important to continue to put things on the table because either we’ll be here in another hundred years within the Green Line, or we won’t be here at all. ...I love the land of Israel more than the settlers do, because I am willing to settle for part of it. They are willing to take a chance and lose it all."
Wednesday 26: In Shuafat neighbourhood, East Jerusalem – A Palestinian begins demolishing his home to carry out an Israeli court order which had ruled that the house was built 'without a municipality permit' in the Arab east Jerusalem and must therefore be demolished.

Building permits are apparently not issued to Arabs by the Israeli city council of Jerusalem.
Many Palestinians eventually end up demolishing their homes themselves
to avoid the high cost of paying for Israeli government bulldozers
to carry out the court demolition order on their family home,
or being sent to prison for not being able to pay.

Religious discrimination

Israel – Israel's parliament (Knesset) passes a law which requires that a distinction be made between Muslim Arabs and Christian Arabs in separate representation on Israel's advisory council of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. It was introduced by YARIV LEVIN of Likud, to de-Arabize Arab Christians, who comments on it –
"My legislation will provide separate representation and separate attention to the Christian public, separate from the Muslim Arabs … This is a historic and important move that could help balance the State of Israel, and connect us and the Christians, and I’m being careful about not calling them Arabs because they aren’t Arabs."

In Israel –
The head of Lahav 433 (Israel's equivalent of America's FBI), Maj. Gen. Menashe Arbiv, is forced to retire on suspicion of taking bribes from Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, currently under indictment for bribery and money laundering.
And Maj. Gen. Niso Shaham, who heads the Jerusalem police district, is forced to resign after being charged with sexually harassing female police officers under his command.

Sunday 2: In Crimea region of Ukraine – Russia sends 15,000 troops into Ukraine, using the same excuse as Nazi Germany for invading its neighbours before the outbreak of World War II (of protecting resident Russians), and encourages Crimea to break away from Ukraine (Russia has a naval base at Ukraine's Sevastopol on the Black sea).
NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Ramussen warns Moscow that it is threatening peace in Europe with its seizure of Crimea.
Tuesday 4: In Israel – The Israeli Bureau of Statistics announces that construction of illegal Jewish settlements in the Palestinian West Bank increased by 123% in 2013 compared to 2012 –
however the actual figures show that work began on 2,534 new housing units in Jewish settlements in 2013, compared to 1,133 in 2012,
which is a one year increase of more than 223% in Palestinian territory.
Palestinian Fatah leadership have demanded a Jewish settlement construction freeze and the release of Palestinian prisoners held indefinitely without trial if the talks with Israel are to continue beyond their Apr. 29 deadline.
The basic hindrance to a peace settlement is Israel's insistence that the state continue to be defined in racio-religious terms as Jewish
5: In International Waters, off the coast of Eritrea in the Red Sea – Israel's naval forces raid a Panamanian registered Iranian freighter KLOS-C to confiscate Syrian-made weapons (40 M-302 rockets, 181 large mortar shells and 400,000 rounds of Kalashnikov bullets) allegedly destined for 'Gaza', which had been flown from Damascus, Syria, to Teheran, Iran. Israel is uncertain ("still a bit preliminary") on 'who' in blockaded 'Gaza' was to receive the weapons (if possible).
The tit-for-tat situation

Gaza's interior
ministry in turn says that the Israeli action is merely a justification for an ongoing total blockade around Gaza by land and sea and that the Palestinian resistance is not so naïve to send this amount of weapons through the sea while it is totally under siege in the Gaza strip.
"Gaza is blockaded and they are talking about a ship that was found in the Red Sea thousands of kilometers away."

which contradicts this.
the United States – The US President announces –
"This morning I signed an executive order that authorizes sanctions on individuals and entities responsible for violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, or for stealing the assets of the Ukrainian people. According to my guidance, the State Department has also put in place restrictions on the travel of certain individuals and officials. These decisions continue our efforts to impose a cost on Russia and those responsible for the situation in Crimea. And they also give us the flexibility to adjust our response going forward based on Russia's actions."
In Kapustin Yar, Southern Russia, about 450km (280m) east of the Ukrainian border – About 3,500 troops and over 1,000 units of military hardware begin a month long military exercise which will culminate with live-firing drills, involving S-300, Buk-M1 and other military air defence systems.
Russian chief press officer of the Western Military District, Colonel Oleg Kochetkov, states –
"It is the largest-ever exercise held by air defense units of the [Russian] Western Military District".
(Earlier, Russia's President Putin had warned at NATO-Russia Council Summit (April 4, 2008) that Ukraine is an artificial creation sewn together from territory of Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, and especially Russia in the aftermath of the Second World War. He stated then –,
"the Crimea was simply given to Ukraine by a decision of the Politburo of the Soviet Communist Party Central Committee. There haven't even been any state procedures regarding transfer of the territory, since we take a very calm and responsible approach to the problem."
Putin claimed that 90% of the inhabitants of the Crimea are Russian, 17 out of 45 million Ukrainian citizens are Russian, and that Ukraine gained enormous amounts of its territory from the east and south at the expense of Russia. He added,
"if we add in the NATO question and other problems, the very existence of the State could find itself under threat."
Putin further questioned old borders and the worthiness of political leadership in neighbouring countries during his August 9 Vladikavkahz speech of that year.)
the USA – Its Congress passes legislation (H.R. 938) of which the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2014.2 Section 3 of the bill declares that Israel is a "major strategic partner of the United States." In addition, the bill, among other things, requires that –
extend the authorization for the War Reserves Stock Allies-Israel (WRSA-I) program through FY2015 (see below);
authorize annual funding for a US-based Joint Energy Research Centre;
authorize $3 million to be spent on research pilot programs between Israel and the Department of Homeland Security;
require the US Administration to submit biennial reports on maintaining Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge. Current law requires the Administration to report on a quadrennial basis
require the Secretary of State to report to Congress on "the range of cyber and asymmetric threats posed to Israel by state and non-state actors; and the joint efforts of the United States and Israel to address the threats"; and
require that the Administration undertake discussions with Israel to identify the steps required to be taken to give Israel the same Strategic Trade Authorization (STA) licensing exception for certain munitions and dual-use items that 36 other countries currently have.

Joint Investigation Team
227 passengers on the flight,
including 153 Chinese and 38 Malaysians.
12 Malaysian crew members.
The plane left Malaysian airspace about 40 minutes
into the flight, Malaysian and Thai military radar
detected the plane veering off its planned route.
Malaysian military radar last tracked the plane
an hour later, flying over the Andaman Sea.
Investigators believe it continued to fly
for almost six more hours, based on
the seven automatic "pings"
picked up by satellites.
Six pieces of debris found on Madagascar coast have so far been confirmed as MH370 wreckage.
One seems to show evidence of fire,
which may indicate it had been shot down approaching the US base, as I suspect.
8: Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 (en route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Beijing in China) disappears from radar after changing course toward the north-west, and switching off its tracking transponder. The initial search involving 65 aircraft and 95 ships from 13 countries uncovered no trace of MH370.

The plane vanishes from radar precisely after the moment air traffic control is transferred from Malaysia to Vietnam. This is considered to be the "point of maximum confusion" where there is an 8 minute gap or so before the Vietnam Air Traffic Controllers would expect to hear from the plane. Since no debris was found around this area, it rules out a mid-air explosion at this point.
Captain Simon
Hardy, a senior Boeing 777 captain with a major commercial airline, spent six months analysing Inmarsat's satellite communication "handshake" arcs, and using mathematical "reverse engineering" to arrive at the conclusion that the missing Malaysia Airlines plane was intentionally landed on the water and sank intact about 100 nautical miles away from where the Australian Transport Safety Bureau is currently conducting its search, and outside the core target area being trawled.
However, 'planned suicide' does not fit with a motive to hide debris by landing to remain intact, rather than diving into the sea.
Failed theory
explanation offered (as to why no wreckage has ever been found) is that it accidentally crashed on land in some 'remote jungle area', but that also does not quite fit with any possible motivation for its deliberate change of direction and the disabling of its transponder.
Failed theory
Steve Pieczenik's

The Taliban were a Cold War
creation of the United States
silly story of a Taliban theft of US drone-control technology in Afghanistan to be sold by the Taliban to China (who already had drone-control technology) and so was smuggled aboard MH370 in order to be delivered to Beijing, and that to prevent that America then used previously installed 'remote control' on that Boeing to destroy it (his story is now propagated by Gaurav Pradhan), also completely fails the test of logic, for no remote control agency is going to switch-off the tracking transponder to loose track of the very plane it is supposed to be controlling, as was done on MH370.
Failed theory
October 2015, California-based
engineer and pilot Bruce Robertson suggests that there was some sort of trouble on board the plane – likely a fire that destroyed some of the equipment – forcing the pilots to decide to attempt to re-route for an emergency landing. The pilots, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah and co-Pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid, turned west and began their descent [to where?]. The fire, or their efforts to put it out, likely led to a malfunction in the left engine, which shut off communication and much of the electricity. The flight deck air supply, according to Robertson, comes from the left engine, meaning without air circulation, passengers on board died of hypoxia – a lack of oxygen. Automatic pilot then took over and held the plane in air for several hours. Due to imbalance caused by damages, the plane would have flown at a left-radius turn, then would have made a "crude belly flop" in the ocean, much of it still intact. “What debris does escape may someday be found on a Madagascar or African beach" (to explain why a flaperon, piece of the wing, washed up on Reunion Island).
Failed theory
So, I suspect, after reports of a Malaysian Airlines plane seen flying low over the Maldives islands (which would be en route to Diego Garcia), that it was hijacked and flown for an attack on the US military base on Diego Garcia in the Chagos Islands, shot down by the US Air Force and the tragic slaughter then covered up. So, currently, to me there is no more logical conclusion (taking into account all the evidences) than that the United States military shot it down, and of course they have the technological ability (military radar and satellite data) to lay a false trail beyond Diego Garcia into the southern Indian Ocean to mislead investigators.
view is also held by the former director of French airline Proteus, Marc Dugain, who suggests that a US military jet shot down Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 over the Indian Ocean to prevent it being used to attack the US airbase on Diego Garcia, and says that he had been warned off delving too deeply into the fate of flight MH370 by a British intelligence officer who told him that he was taking "risks".
Diego Garcia is a highly-guarded US military base once used for bombing raids on Iraq and Afghanistan.
In January 2015, a former senior official in the George W Bush administration said
the US government carried out interrogations of terror suspects at the base.
Wing debris found in August
2015 washed up on the island
of Reunion in the south
western Indian Ocean is
proven to be from MH370
investigator Andre Milne later, in a letter to international crime agency Interpol, says it appears the pilot planned to use Flight MH370 for “provocative action” against the US military base on the island of Diego Garcia, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, and that whoever was in control of the flight 'wanted MH370 to be observed by the inhabitants of the Maldive atolls, during daylight, as flying south towards Diego Garcia'. Milne then asserts that his latest claims generate ”irreversible damage to the credibility of the Australian Government and Inmarsat” – a British satellite firm involved in the official search for Flight MH370.
initially focusing on visual surveys to try to find floating debris, a new phase for the search begins in October 2014 to scour the ocean floor using two vessels, the Fugro Discovery and the GO Phoenix.
Australian Transport Safety Bureau’s modelling shows that, after running out of fuel, the plane would have crashed in the southern Indian ocean, off the coast of Western Australia. As of March 2016, four ships have searched more than 85,000sq km of a long but narrow “seventh arc”, totalling 120,000sq km of seafloor – without success. A search which ignores the southward ocean current route from Diego Garcia of the debris washed up on La Reunion and Mozambique coasts because it apparently trusts the (electronically fiddleable) last sattelite communication of having turned south as being more reliable.
US military killing
of 239 civilians
Australian government oceanographers obtain a wing flap of the same model as the original and study how that part drifted in the ocean, the Australian Transport safety Bureau says in a statement (April 2017). Previous drift modeling used inexact replicas.
The new analysis confirms findings released in December 2016 that the airliner had likely crashed north (Diego Garcia) of the searched area.
Malaysia, China and Australia have agreed that the search will remain suspended unless new evidence emerges that would pinpoint the plane's exact location. France is conducting its own investigation and has not handed over the Reunion Island flaperon to the wider investigation.

10: In London, UK – Early Day Motion 1080 is filed in the British Parliament which calls on its Government to recognise the near catastrophic electricity situation in Gaza and asks the government to urge Israel to lift the fuel blockade immediately as well as urge Egypt to open the Rafah border crossing. The motion reads as follows –
That this House calls on the Government to recognise the severe situation faced by Palestinians in Gaza in accessing electricity;
notes the call from UN Special Rapporteur Richard Falk that the situation in Gaza is at a point near catastrophe due to fuel shortages resulting in daily power cuts for sustained periods of time which have undermined an already precarious infrastructure;
further notes that the provision of all basic services including health, water, sanitation and education is being severely disrupted;
recognises that specialised health services are being interrupted daily, including kidney dialysis, operating theatres, blood banks and incubators, threatening lives;
and further calls on the Government to respond to the call made by Amnesty International
to urge Israel to lift the Gaza blockade immediately   and urge Egypt to open the Rafah border crossing.

Sunday 16: In Gaza – Israel, in the face of international criticism, reopens its Kerem Shalom border crossing into Gaza, which allows for the delivery of diesel fuel (donated by Qatar) to the Gaza's only power station to resume, but Israeli officials at this southern Gaza Strip crossing refuse to allow any other commodities to enter Gaza.
The lack of diesel fuel is a result of Israel's tightening of its 7-year-long blockade imposed on Gaza with Egyptian support.
Monday 17: In East Jerusalem – Israeli police restrict Palestinian access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, while allowing the entry of Jews to perform Jewish religious rituals on the Islamic religious site, motivated by Jewish Rabbi Yehuda Glick. Angry Muslim worshipers then gather at Bab al-Nazer Gate and scuffle with the Israeli police when they circumvent their entrance to Al Aqsa. The Israeli police use clubs and tear gas on the Palestinians, causing several injuries, including to some of the women and children.

In response Poland urges the US to increase its military presence in Poland and other central and eastern European NATO members.

In Israel – Israel's Economics Minister, NAFTALI BENNET (42), head of the Jewish settlements 'Jewish Home' party in the coalition government (9.12% of the vote in Israel's 2013 election), rejects any negotiations with the Palestinians and says he will allow the Israeli government to collapse if necessary.
"My task is to keep Judaism alive, to make it stronger and to fight its enemies"
The release of 104 Palestinians arrested by Israel prior to 1993 Oslo Accord between Israel and the Palestinians is a condition for the resumption of any peace negotiations – a provision which Prime Minister Netanyahu had agreed to, but Bennett is insisting that these prisoners must stay behind bars. Bennett has succeeded in anchoring religious-nationalist ideology in core Israeli government ministries. His fascist views have broad support in Netanyahu's cabinet in which nearly half its government ministers live outside the 1967 Green Line – meaning in Palestinian territories.
Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics has calculated that 2013 was a record year for the Jewish settlements movement.
Foundation stones were laid for more than twice as many Jewish buildings located on Palestinian territory than in 2012.

Near Hebron – Mztveh Ya'ir Jewish settlers destroy Palestinian power-generating solar panels near Yatta.
Near Hebron – Ma’on Jewish settlers graze their sheep on a privately owned Palestinian field of 25 dunums of winter crops in the Palestinian village of Kharruba near Yatta destroying the Palestinians crops.
In Jerusalem,
Israel – Despite the fact that the city’s planning principles forbid new construction within 75 meters (250 feet) of the ancient wall of Temple Mount, or Haram al-Sharif, Jerusalem’s District Planning and Building Committee approves plans of a Jewish settler organization (El’ad Association) to erect a grandiose edifice in the upper part of the Arab Silwan neighbourhood, adjacent to the walls of the Old City, seven stories high, with the ground floor over 16,600 square meters (4 acres).
(The Al Monitor media site describes this as provocative as sticking a Star of David on top of a mosque).
Saudi Arabia – Prince MUQRIN BIN ABDULAZIZ (a former intelligence chief) is appointed as deputy crown prince, which makes the 70-year-old Muqrin (youngest son of the kingdom's founder King Abdulaziz al-Saud) next in line to succeed after his half-brothers King Abdullah [who turned 90 in 2013] and Crown Prince Salman [age 78].

29: In Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR) – According to a report by U.N. human rights spokesman Rupert Colville –
"As soon as the convoy of the Chadian National Army reached the PK12 market area [of Bangui] around 3:00 p.m., it allegedly opened fire on the population without any provocation. As people fled in all directions in panic, the soldiers continued to fire indiscriminately. At the time of the shooting, the market was full of many people, including many young girls and women buying and selling produce"
Preliminary findings put the number of those killed at around 30, with more than 300 seriously wounded, including children, people with disabilities, pregnant women and elderly people. The U.N. investigators concluded these people were an easy mark as they were less able to run for their lives. Many Muslim communities of Bangui and the north-western part of CAR have been wiped out, their residents massacred and survivors forced to flee. All civilians in Bangui are threatened by daily attacks, said the U.N. children’s agency. (Saturday’s violence comes one day after 'suspected' Muslim rebels launched a grenade attack on a funeral, killing at least nine people. A spokesman for the 'Christian' militia on Sunday 30 calls for calm after the massacre of civilians by the Chadian 'peacekeepers'.)

Thursday 3: In Russia – State controlled Gazprom announces a virtually doubling of its gas price for Ukraine to $485 per 1,000 cubic meters this month: previously $268 (£162). The price hike amounts to an 80% increase, putting more pressure on Ukraine's economy, already on the brink of bankruptcy. America responds that markets should determine prices not governments, and Ukraine announces it will not pay the increase.

In Germany – Europe's aviation safety authority warns of "serious risks" for international airlines flying over Crimea because there appears to be two services managing the same airspace after its annexation by Russia. The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) says Russia has published a series of notices saying it intended to provide air traffic services within the area controlled by the flight information centre at Simferopol, which is Crimea's main airport. EASA says national aviation authorities in Europe should therefore encourage carriers to avoid the airspace over Crimea, and use alternative routes.

Ophek 10
Wednesday 9: In Israel – From the Palmahim military base on the Mediterranean coast, a Shavit launcher blasts off – taking Israel’s latest spy satellite, Ofek 10, into permanent orbit. Israel has made a massive investment in guided weapons, launched from the ground, from air and sea; and in drones, submarines and missile defence batteries.
11: In Washington, USA – Israel is the largest recipient of U.S. Foreign Military Financing (FMF). For instance for Financial Year 2015, the President’s request for Israel would encompass approximately 55% of total FMF funding worldwide.
Annual FMF grants to Israel represent 23% to 25% of the overall Israeli defence budget.
(As per the Israeli Ministry of Defence funding figures for its domestic defence budget, but excludes some procurement spending and spending on civil defence.
This estimate is based on figures published by Jane’s Defence Budgets, Israel, IHS Global Insight, February 4, 2014.)

US–Israel military aid
Southern Russia near Ukraine border – the Russian military now have approximately 35-40,000 troops in the vicinity of the Ukrainian border according to NATO's Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), a claim Russian officials have repeatedly denied is a cause for concern. According to Brig. Deakin of SHAPE, Russian units have moved into the region and are massing in various locations in the vicinity of Ukraine's border, rather than conducting specific exercise manoeuvres. He said –
"'The Russians have an array of capabilities including aircraft, helicopters, special forces, tanks, artillery, infantry fighting vehicles… and these could move in a matter of hours"

Brief Review:
• After a failed effort to violently disperse pro-European Union protests, the government of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych collapsed on February 21, 2014. On February 27 the Ukrainian parliament approved a new pro-reform, pro-Western government. New presidential elections are scheduled for May 25.
• Russia condemned the new government in Kyiv as illegitimate and responded by sending troops to seize Ukraine’s Crimea region. Ignoring international condemnation, Russian annexed Crimea on March 18.
• In April and May 2014, armed men seized government buildings in several cities in eastern Ukraine, mainly in the Donbas region. Ukrainian officials charge that Russian intelligence officers in Ukraine are coordinating the unrest.

23: In Palestinian Territory – The Palestinian administrations of the Gaza Strip (HAMAS) and the West Bank (Fatah) announce agreement to form a coalition government (ending their 2007 schism) and hold elections within six months.
Israel immediately condemns this as a move away from peace and unilaterally cancels the current 'peace negotiations' with the Palestinians.
The Israeli accusation is supported in essence by the American government.
(According to human rights watchdog Peace Now, during these negotiations with the Palestinians
the Israeli government approves plans for nearly 14,000 new Jewish settler residences in the Palestinian West Bank.)
...and so
the tit-for-tat continues.

As the Palestinian agreement is being announced, an Israeli air-strike hits northern Gaza, apparently missing the militant on a motorcycle it was aiming at and wounding 12 Palestinians, including two children. In retaliation, two rockets are fired from Gaza landing in open areas of southern Israel.
25: In Ramallah, West Bank – Palestinian president, MAHMOUD ABBAS, tells visiting American Rabbi MARC SCHNEIER, that –
"What happened to the Jews in the Holocaust is the most heinous crime to have occurred against humanity in the modern era"
Abbas says the Holocaust was an expression of the idea of ethnic discrimination and racism, and connected it to Palestinian suffering today.

Tuesday 29,
Daybreak: In Khirbet (Kherbt) al-Taweel near Nablus, West Bank, Palestine – Six Israeli bulldozers, eighteen Israeli military jeeps, accompanied by several hundred Israeli soldiers (according to Reuters' correspondent eye-witness) invade this Palestinian village, declare it a closed military area, flatten its stone-built mosque and three residential dwellings (displacing more than 25 Palestinians), animal shelters, and a communal well – 'because they had been built without a permit' of the Jewish authorities, in order to make way for nearby Jewish settlement expansion. The Israeli soldiers confiscated the mosque's prayer rugs and copies of the Qur'an. (The village overlooks the Jordan valley.)
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, in 2013 Israeli authorities demolished more than 500 Palestinian homes in the Palestinian West Bank and East Jerusalem (Al-Quds). No compensation or alternative accommodation was provided.
Relations between Israel and Palestine have worsened over this past month, culminating in the imposition of sanctions on Palestine by Israel, which includes freezing the transfer of taxes. Israel collects monthly some $110 million in taxes on goods bound for the Palestinian territory, which amounts to about two-thirds of the income of the Palestinian Authority.

The Assad regime continues to use chemical weapons against its own people, such as on the villages of Kfar Zeita (April 12, 16, 18 and 26) and of Telminnes (April 21) – this time with Chlorine Gas bombs, which form hydrochloric acid in the lungs and cause a very painful death. (The bombs all have an almost one-centimetre thick steel casing, inside which are cylinders of a type often used in industrial manufacturing with the engraved initials "CL²" as well as the name of Norinco, the suspected Chinese manufacturer. CL² is the symbol for chlorine gas.)

Tuesday 13: In Jerusalem – Jewish right-wing Zionists write the public graffiti notice –
 "Death to Arabs and Christians"
in Hebrew, on the Vatican's Notre Dame centre,
ahead of Pope Francis' visit later this month, 24 to 26 May.
This incident comes after a spate of attacks against Christians in Galilee,
where a place of worship was vandalised and stones thrown at Christian pilgrims.
A radical Jewish rabbi also sent a threatening letter to a Christian priest in Nazareth.
In a statement earlier this week the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem said that
Christians in Israel felt neither safe nor protected and called on the Israeli government to take action against right-wing Jewish extremists.

London – The British government grants Israeli minister TZIPI LIVNI temporary diplomatic immunity for her UK visit, in the light of efforts to secure a warrant for Livni's arrest by London lawyers Hickman and Rose, acting on behalf of a relative of a Palestinian killed in the Israeli bombing of a police compound on the first day of Israel's military assault on Gaza, which began in December 2008. (January 1, 2009, the Israeli air force had also rocketed the Gaza police station blowing out all the windows of the Gaza Baptist church across the road).
A British judge had decided in December 2009 that there was sufficient evidence to justify Livni's arrest
over the three-week Israeli military assault on Gaza in which more than 1,400 people were killed, primarily civilians,
including over 340 children.

15: in Beitunia, near Ramallah – Nadeem Siam Nawara (17) and another teen are shot dead by Israeli troops (IDF) during a Nakba Day rally. The IDF states that they only used non-lethal methods (rubber bullets), but an autopsy later finds that he was shot dead.
(Palestinian and Israeli specialists, as well as two pathologists from the US and Denmark, were in attendance during the autopsy, which took place at the Abu Dis Institute of Forensic Medicine in the West Bank. An entry and exit wound were detected on his body, and shrapnel was also found. The IDF refuse to comment.)
Israel – Prof. MORDECHAI KREMNITZER, vice president of research at the Israel Democracy Institute and professor emeritus of law at the Hebrew University accuses Prime Minister Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yair Lapid, of intensifying nationalist trends within Israeli society (in an interview with Al Monitor). He said –
"I don’t think we’ve ever experienced a time like this.
We could, in a sense, deteriorate into a nationalist state. Our liberal democratic character is being worn away."
"Under Netanyahu, the government and law enforcement have been lax in their handling of hate crimes committed by people affiliated with the [Jewish] 'price tag' group. I think that there has been a campaign for several years now – some of it political and some of it public – against organizations acting on behalf of civil society."
"We are standing on a threshold, and the tiebreaker could well be the Jewish State Basic Law, which is intended to reshape the state, transforming it from a nation-state into a nationalist state that treats the Arab minority unequally. This law was undoubtedly intended to shift the point of balance between Israel’s Jewish nature and its democratic nature, by dwarfing and reducing democracy. Since it is intended as a Basic Law, it could have far-reaching implications, particularly given the presence of factors both within and outside the political system, which have a hostile attitude toward Israeli Arabs. If these forces receive the backing of the law, it can be assumed that they will use it as fuel for the fire that is likely to erupt." (emphasis mine).
His comments come after Prime Minister Netanyahu attempts to change the State of Israel's Basic Law to a new basic law defining Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people [only, and thus permanently degrading the status of all others].

Washington, USA – The $600 billion National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) almost doubles next year's funding for Israel's Iron Dome missile defence program, adding $175 million to the $176 million requested in President Barack Obama's fiscal year 2015 budget proposal. The Armed Services Committee report accompanying the bill, however, conditions the extra funding to assurances that American defence firms get a slice of the action and that the US government gets technical know-how from the program, which has cost American taxpayers $720 million since 2011.

(Mehdi is later arrested in Marseilles, France, on May 30, during a random drug check. European Jewish Congress President Moshe Kantor praised French and Belgian authorities for the arrest, saying there was a need to clamp down on the spread of hate crimes, especially by those hardened by bloodshed in places like Syria, where Mehdi had been.)

"Jerusalem, of course, means 'city of peace.' This is what God wills it to be, and such is the desire of all people of good will,...
Yet sadly Jerusalem remains deeply troubled as a result of long-standing conflicts"
In Jerusalem, Israel-Palestine – Pope FRANCIS visits the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, is welcomed by Prince Ghazi bin Mohamed, the Jordanian king’s personal representative and special adviser on religious matters (Jordan oversees all Muslim and Christian religious sites in East Jerusalem/Al-Quds since the 1950s), accompanied by a host of Palestinian dignitaries, including Mufti Sheikh Mohamed Hussein. (Israeli authorities had prevented Muslim worshippers from performing the Fajr (dawn) prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque a few hours before the Pope's visit).

Monday 2: In Jerusalem, Israel – On behalf of Israel’s Prime Minister, his Minister of Communications GILAD ERDAN states in response to the United States announcement that it would work with the newly sworn in Palestinian unity government
"Unfortunately, American naivety has broken all records. Any collaboration with Hamas – which kills women and children – is unacceptable... ...This American capitulation can only damage chances of resuming [peace] negotiations"
4: In Jerusalem, Israel – In retaliation to the Palestinian unity government Israel's Ministry of Housing and Construction (Minister URI ARIEL) approves tenders for 1,500 new [illegal] Jewish settlement housing units in the Palestinian territories of West Bank and East Jerusalem outside of existing Jewish settlement blocs.
• Later, in response to this announcement, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni (Hatnua) states –
"the settlement enterprise is built to prevent us from ever reaching a [peace] agreement; the settlement enterprise takes enormous budgets from social issues essential to Israeli society - education, health, social justice in all its levels and varieties".
• And Opposition and Labor Party Chairman MK Yitzchak Herzog says–

Marwan and Amar had the radio playing a Hebrew interview, when they set up the killing by offering the teens a lift, to deceive them into thinking they were Jewish.
But for the next 17-days Israeli authorities pretend they are looking for the teens in order to provoke.
In West Bank, Palestine – The cell phone call from Gil-Ad Shaer, one of the three missing Jewish teens (10:15 pm, June 12) and its background sounds received by Israel's police (from within a Hyundai driven by Marwan Qawasmeh and Amar Abu Aisha, two extremists from Hebron), indicated from the beginning that the three teens had already been shot dead, but it is treated by the Israeli authorities as a 'ransom abduction' for Israel's political gain. The teens' sad fate is also verified by the blood stains and their DNA found in the burnt out Hyundai found near Halhul, north of Hebron, confirming the contents of the police tape recording of the tragic telephone call at the time they entered the vehicle. But this information is suppressed.
(The 2 minute, 9 second call, received at 10:25 pm was not handed over to security services until around five hours later,
when one of the boy’s parents reported him missing to police. So from that time their fate was actually KNOWN.)
Later Marwan and Amar are shot dead by Israel's military (Yamam police anti-terror unit) with Shin Bet in Hebron early Tuesday 23 September 2014 during an attempted arrest.

In West Bank,

Palestine – The 'disappearance' of three hitch-hiking teenagers from a West Bank Jewish settlement (June 12) is used by Israel to accuse HAMAS and arrest ("administrative detention", i.e. indefinite detention without trial) more than 530 Palestinians in retaliation (mostly members of the HAMAS movement). HAMAS denies any knowledge of the missing teens, but the international media see the situation as being used by Israel to curb HAMAS' influence in the occupied West Bank after the inauguration of a Palestinian unity government.
Israel's Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Ya'alon, almost certainly knowing the content of the police recording, continues the same public deception. In a statement to the press, he announces –
"Our working assumption is that the missing boys are alive,
and so long as we don't know otherwise we will take action to release them."

On Monday June 30, three bodies are found in a shallow grave under rocks in a valley near the village of Halhul north of Hebron (on land belonging to Hussam Kawasme, the military therefore demolish his home August 18) and are presumed to be those of the missing teenagers. Although officially forensic identification is still awaited, the Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel effectively declares war on HAMAS saying –
"Hamas is responsible, and Hamas will pay ... [They] were kidnapped and murdered in cold blood by wild beasts"
The hunt for the three missing youths has seen several hundred Palestinians rounded up in a massive operation – often without charge or any connection to the 'kidnapping' – and at least five Palestinians, including a number of minors, killed.

•  Caterpillar
provides bulldozers "used in the destruction of Palestinian homes" to make way for Israeli Jewish settlements;
•  Hewlett-Packard "provides electronic systems at checkpoints, logistics and communications systems to support the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip, and has business relationships with illegal settlements in the West Bank";

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the decision as "disgraceful".

"Today we witness the phenomenon of female seminary graduates who apply to, and want to attend, academic studies. 1: In West Bank, Palestine – As the funeral proceeds for the three Israeli Jewish teens murdered near Hebron, the Media draw attention to the comparative lack of concern in contrast regarding the killing of Palestinian teens by Israeli forces
•  18-year-old Yusuf Abu Zagher, killed today (Tuesday 1 July) in the Jenin Refugee Camp;
•  14-year-old Mahmoud Dudeen, killed by Israeli forces during clashes in the southern West Bank city of Dura;

3: In Shuafat, East Jerusalem – Fifteen-year-old TARIQ ABU KHDEIR is handcuffed and repeatedly beaten and kicked by Israeli police while lying defenceless on the ground. Tariq had been part of a protest over the abduction (on his way to pray at the mosque), stabbing and burning-alive (according to the autopsy) of his 16-year-old cousin (Mohammed Abu Khdeir, only identified by his DNA) in an apparent revenge killing by Jewish settlers, when Tariq was beaten to the ground and dragged off by Israeli police.
He was denied medical attention until his father gave evidence (his passport) that the boy was an American citizen born in Florida, USA.
After his eventual release Sunday July 6 on bail of $850(US), the boy is placed under house arrest for 10-days, and Israel's police allege that the video of his beating is 'false' ("edited'),

9: In the quiet Ramal neighbourhood, Gaza City – Israel's airforce attacks the media vehicle (silver Skoda bearing a large 'TV' sign) of Media24, killing its driver HAMID SHEHAB (30) instantly. He was blown to pieces!
The Euro-Mid Observer for Human Rights, based in Geneva, condemned the targeting of the agency's car and killing of Hamid. They stressed that what the Israeli forces are now doing — targeting civilians and deliberately shelling houses and public and private property had reached the level of a war crime.
Israel's military

Friday 11:
After four days of Israel's 'Protective Edge' military operation against Gaza, over 400 rockets had been fired into Israel, several Israelis injured during today, even as Iron Dome intercepted most rockets heading into residential areas. The Israeli Air Force has carried out over 1,000 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, and Palestinian reports are that more than 100 Palestinians have been killed.

Reconciliation requires

In Gaza – Dr. Mona El-Farra (MECA Director of Gaza Projects) writes:
(She is a physician by training, and a human rights and women's rights activist by practice, in the occupied Gaza Strip).
"Gaza – Friday, July 11, Day 4 of the attack    Where shall I start? How shall I start?
     Shall I start with the numbers which keep increasing and changing? 90 killed, mainly civilians. 600 injured. 140 demolished homes. Or should I start by mentioning all the different areas of the Gaza Strip that have been constantly hit, day and night. Nonstop. If it is only about numbers, then let me tell you all about thousands of Palestinian children who are terrified night after night, day after day by the sounds of the Israeli shelling. The children have deep feelings of insecurity when it is dark. And no shelters.
     The Israeli army has restarted their punitive home demolition policy, illegal under international law. Yesterday a six-story building where my relatives live in Khan Younis was hit and levelled to the ground. 106 relatives were made homeless. Even if the Israeli army’s goal was to punish one of Hamas activists, there is no justification for this cruel, brutal and collective punishment. Eight members of the Kawarea family were killed in Khan Younis. when the jet-fighters destroyed their home. The Israeli army spokesman said sorry it was a mistake. What a gentle, well-behaved, and civilized army.
     Walking through the streets of Gaza City where I live can be a real nightmare. The drones and fighter jets are in the sky and you cannot anticipate what will happen in the next minute. Are they going to target a car behind you or in front of you? Will you be caught in the blast? Will others be dying right that minute somewhere else? Will others will be forced to leave their home in 5 minutes only to be bombed 2 minutes later?
     Yet despite the fear, I had to go to the Red Crescent Society of the Gaza Strip to be with the medical emergency team and help as much as I could. This morning we received an injured deaf young man from Jabalia. He was working in a farm that was hit. Tens of cows and sheep were killed too.
     I am so tired and sleepless. I don’t feel settled outside my home despite the generosity of my friends who are hosting me. But my building, my neighborhood, are too unsafe. Nowhere is safe. but with intense shelling nearby and broken windows, I had to leave [to shelter with friends].
     The shelling is continuous, crazy and everywhere. Warships fire missiles against the beach in Gaza City.
     Rafah town is under severe missile shelling, 10 people in Rafah were killed when their home was levelled to the ground by an American-made F16.
     The UN agency that runs schools and clinics for Palestinian refugees opened its schools to receive homeless people from different areas. Now larger numbers of people will drink from MECA water purification units.
     Nobody is asleep in Gaza. No place is safe. The Israeli military attacks are coming from every direction."
From Gaza with love,
        Dr. Mona El-FarraEmergency Aid for Gaza
As at Saturday July 12, Israel widens its air assault against the Gaza Strip's elected HAMAS rulers, bombing a mosque, HAMAS-affiliated charities and an Islamic home for the disabled, as Palestinian medics report that the death toll from the five-day-old offensive has risen to 135. About a quarter of the civilian casualties are children.

Imad al-Gharbawi, a volunteer medic, relayed his experience with the removal of the dead and wounded from the rubble of their homes, saying that –

into geriatric hospital
Israel's army fired five 'warning' missiles at El-Wafa geriatric hospital in Gaza City, Gaza.
International volunteers now staying in the hospital in solidarity, have said they "can hear missiles falling close by".
The first barrage of missiles hit the fourth floor of the hospital at 2:00AM. At approximately 19:00 a fifth missile hit the hospital.
"Windows and doors were blown out, broken glass everywhere, damage to the stairs, there's a big hole at the impact area and the wall is burnt," reports Joe Catron, ISM activist, from the U.S.
Basman Alashi, executive director of the hospital, says the hospital will not be evacuated because there is nowhere to evacuate the patients to.
"El-Wafa hospital serves the patients that need medical attention 24 hours a day. Including patients that can't move, or people who need to be fed by tube. This hospital is the only one in Gaza specializing in the rehabilitation of people who need physical and occupational therapy. All our patients are over 60 years old, men and women. We don't understand why the Israeli forces have fired five rockets at the hospital in the last 24 hours so far. We serve humanity."

16:45 [local time - GMT+2]: Over Rassypnaya, Eastern Ukraine – Russian Colonel IGOR VSEVOLODOVICH GIRKIN (alias Igor Strelkov) of the Russian GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate), leading the pro-Russian Ukrainian separatists, shoots down Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 (using a Russian-made and supplied 9M38M1 of the Buk-M1 ground-to-air missile system) thinking it to be a Ukrainian military Antonov-26, killing all 298 people, three kilometres north-west of the village of Hrabove.
When his error is discovered Girkin supervises the removal of the Buk-M1 missile battery back to Russian territory.
Please help find him. Click his image (right) for detail,
for from his killing-history he needs to be permanently removed from all human society
In June 2013, Igor Girkin made the following self-justifying statement:
"...Remember that in 1917 [before the 1918 Communist revolution], the activities of dissatisfied political elites were guided and supported by foreign embassies as well as other covert and secret international structures. So it is only in quite relative terms that we can speak of a new type of war. The main problem facing all security services is to prevent the fraying of the "fabric" of the state [unity of Russian Federation]. If the situation deteriorates, it is necessary to proceed to the next phase of security operations, and at that point, targeted special operations alone will 'no longer be sufficient'."

In October 2015 the
Dutch-led Investigation Team
releases its report:
"Malaysia Airlines flight MH17
was shot down by a Russian-made
Buk missile over eastern Ukraine"

It says the type of missile was a 9M314M – contradicting Russia's claim that it was a 9M38 missile.
Almaz-Antey – the Russian state-controlled firm that manufactures the Buk missile – earlier said its own investigation showed that if the plane was hit by a Buk, it was fired from the village of Zaroshenske.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko calls the downing of the Malaysian plane an act of terrorism and called for an international investigation into the crash at Grabovo.
(July 21, Lieutenant-General Andrei Kartapolova, Deputy Chief of the General staff of the the Russian Armed Forces, releases a media statement to cast doubt on their responsibility and deflect blame –
"... In conclusion, I wish to stress that the Russian Federation had not supplied the [pro-Russian] militia anti-aircraft missile system Buk-M4, as well as other types of weapons and military equipment. The Russian Ministry of defence materials prepared today will be handed over to experts of the leading European countries and Malaysia. I hope that they will help in conducting an objective investigation into the July 17 tragedy in the skies over Donetsk."
The Dutch Safety Board reports in October 2015 that the type of fragments found in the wreckage and bodies of crew members in the cockpit were bow-tie or cube shaped – only found in the 9N314M Russian-made warhead.
Russia's Putin-approved supply of anti-aircraft missiles to the East Ukraine pro-Russian rebels was to neutralise the air-superiority of Ukraine's military.)
→ (In November
the ‘Bellingcat’ project (led by British investigative journalist Eliot Higgins) publishes its thorough analytical report –
"There is undeniable evidence that separatists in Ukraine were in control of a Buk missile launcher on July 17th and transported it from Donetsk to Snizhne [a town close to the crash site], ...The Buk missile launcher was unloaded in Snizhne approximately three hours before the downing of MH17 and was later filmed minus one missile driving through separatist-controlled Luhansk").
A forensic report by analysts in the Bellingcat research group say satellite photos presented as evidence by the Russian defence ministry had been falsified.
Images, published by the Russian ministry on 21 July 2014, purport to show Buk missile launchers near Zaroshchenske on the day of the MH17 disaster.
In August
2015, in the Netherlands (most victims were Dutch) – As a consequence of the Joint Investigative Team examination of the parts associated with the crash of MH17 found at the crash-site, Fred Westerbeke, a spokesman for the Dutch Prosecutor's Office, said that seven fragments had been found which were definitely not part of the aircraft, and further investigations had shown that they were probably from a missile system.

In Israel-Palestine – International airlines (except British Airways) halt all flights to and from Israel indefinitely citing security concerns because a Gaza rocket crashed near Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport. It later becomes known that the rocket could have been destroyed in flight by Israel's Iron Dome missile defence but the officer on duty chose to allow it through as he thought it posed no danger. Flights were later resumed.
Wednesday 23: In Khan Younis, Gaza Strip – Israeli soldiers shoot and kill fleeing civilians.
In the Lancet Medical Journal (a per-reviewed general medical journal) – A letter signed by 24 medical doctors and scientists is published in which it is argued that Israel is adopting the rhetoric of a national emergency to masquerade a massacre of Palestinians, especially targeting women and children during the 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict. Subsequently as punishment, the Israeli government bans Norwegian Professor Dr M Gilbert, who has treated casualties in Gaza's Shifa hospital for 30 years, from entering the Gaza Strip. Thursday 24: In Gaza – Its power station workers have managed to get it functioning again after the Israeli attack, but only at 20% of its capacity because of the damage done allowing only a few hours of electricity a day for Gaza's residents. Israel claims it always warns a civilian facility before it attacks, just as it phoned Gaza's geriatric hospital to 'evacuate' (after firing 5-missiles into the building) – but it had no where to go...
Four Israeli tank shells (not rockets) hit a compound housing a UN school in the northern Gaza Strip, killing at least 15 people and wounding 200 who were seeking shelter from fierce clashes on the streets outside. since July 8, 2014.
John Kerry announces that Israel has agreed in principal to a twelve-hour cease-fire in Gaza beginning 07:00 local (04:00 GMT) Saturday (Later extended to midnight), to aid peace-negotiations. The US does not negotiate with HAMAS (leader Khaled Meshaal), the elected administration of Gaza, as it has branded it a 'terrorist' organisation, but Egypt has mediated previous conflicts between Israel and HAMAS, including a 2012 cease-fire.
Currently the basic positions are:
Palestinians want an end to the Israeli and Egyptian blockade of Gaza, which has strangled their economy and prevented Palestinians from traveling, and that Israel release the hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned without charge in Israel's provocative sweep of the Palestinian West Bank following the June 12 killing of the three Jewish teenagers by the two extremists from Hebron (Marwan Qawasmeh and Amar Abu Aisha).
Israel envisages an initial halt to the fighting lasting seven-days, during which the Israeli army would keep digging up the smuggling tunnels on Gaza's eastern frontier, and also assurances that Gaza would be stripped of all its remaining rockets under any extended cease-fire.
The death toll in the current conflict has now reached
over 900 Palestinians;
and 37 Israelis
(including one foreign worker)
The World Health
Organization (WHO) has called for the creation of a humanitarian corridor to help evacuate the large number of injured people from Gaza. Gaza's hospitals had been bombed in Israel's assault. The local WHO office has been discussing this with the Israeli authorities over the last few days, and consultations are also being held with Egyptian authorities.

In east Ukraine
– Hundreds of Jews made refugees by the fighting, have fled since pro-Russian militias (some toting heavy calibre machine guns and mortars) took up arms against government troops in March, and so are now surviving on assistance from local and foreign Jewish groups that in recent weeks have launched major rescue and relief operations. The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and community officials are helping to provide housing, monthly stipends, food and medicine in what they describe as one of largest mobilizations in the history of Ukrainian Jewry.
Anti-Jewish graffiti began to appear in Slavyansk, east Ukraine, as the rule of law weakened.

26, early morning: In Gaza – Heavy Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling, in As-Shaja‘iya and Al-Zeitoun neighborhoods (east of Gaza city), Beit Hanoun and Beir Lahia (northern Gaza Strip), and Khuza‘a to the east of Khan Younes, leaves 85 residents dead, bringing the known death toll to 990.
This death toll may increase for, as the 7am 'temporary cease-fire' approached, an Israeli airstrike destroyed a three-story home killing 16 members of the al-Najjar family and a number of others taking refuge with them. Not all bodies have yet been identified by the medics as at 14:08pm, but, so that the reality might be portrayed, what is known is listed.

Israel's explanation for the high Palestinian death–toll is that HAMAS hides behind civilians, and almost every civilian facility bombed by Israel (homes, hospitals, clinics, schools) is accused of being a rocket base, but which is contradicted by UN personnel on site at a UN compound where a school was bombed (four tank-shells).

In South Africa

Saturday August 9, 2014
The National Coalition for Palestine, representating a wide range of religious and civil groups, issues a memorandum to the South African government which, among other, states –
"We stand here to express our outrage at apartheid Israel
its supporters, its justifiers, its beneficiaries, and its military media arm
– for their relentless bombing and killing of the people of Palestine. The concern we communicate today is not only with the current cycle of violence against the Palestinian people, but the ending of the ongoing illegal occupation and other injustices against Palestine by apartheid Israel. ...
The facts?
Israel has occupied and colonized Palestine since 1948 through expansionist policies, designed to rid the land of the Palestinian people;
Israel has used its military, helicopter-fired missiles, F16’s, tanks and explosive devices on civilians in their homes that have killed over a thousand civilians, including more than 200 children in the last two weeks;
Collective punishment of the Palestinian people – a longstanding practice of the Israeli government – is illegal, inhumane and absolutely unacceptable; instead of seeking political solutions, Israel regularly employs its military might to collectively punish the Palestinian people;
The Israeli offensive has deepened the severe humanitarian crisis and suffering of the people of Gaza, with no intention by them of contributing to a lasting peaceful solution;
Since the siege on Gaza, the social and economic situation in the Gaza Strip is at its worst in 40 years;
80% of Gaza’s 1.8 million people are literally put on a diet by Israel, as they depend on international food aid and suffer with an unemployment rate of 40% or more;
Spare parts for hospitals and water purification cannot be imported and hospitals cannot keep life-saving equipment working.

In summary
concerning the State of Israel security:
It is currently as secure as it is ever likely to be unless Hamas (the democratically elected government of Gaza) disappears, never to be replaced, and the West Bank (which Fatah heads) becomes even more accommodating to Israel. Neither of these prospects is likely. Israel's economy towers over its neighbours. The Palestinians are weak and divided. None of Israel's neighbours pose any threat of invasion, a situation in place since the 1977 neutralization of Egypt. Jordan is locked into a close relation with Israel, Egypt has its peace treaty and Hezbollah is bogged down in Syria. Apart from Gaza, which is a relatively minor threat –
Israel's position is difficult to improve.
29: In Gaza – Israel's shelling and air strikes destroy the sole power station and kill more than 100 people. Amnesty International says the crippling of the power station amounts to "collective punishment of Palestinians". The strike on the plant will worsen already severe problems with Gaza's water supply, sewage treatment and power supplies to medical facilities.

All the Palestinian factions are united behind the issue in this regard"
Delegations from Israel and Palestine are due to convene in Cairo, Egypt, on Saturday for negotiations to be mediated by the Egyptian government.
But after
2½–hours into the cease-fire, it is violated, with accusations of blame from both sides (apparently as Israel continued to destroy HAMAS' smuggling tunnels), and tank shelling causes the death of 70 Palestinians and 200 injured.

Lest you think this is a personal attack I swear it applies equally to all who engage in collaboration with fascism, and we both know the fate of collaborators. In the same manner, only with more zeal, than you have sworn to the Jewish State I pledge to you, and every friend and stooge of Zionism,

"We are aware that the Jewish Board of Deputies has been fascilitating and supporting the funding of the Israeli Army as well as getting SA [Jewish] youth to join the killings in Gaza. This makes the Jewish Board of Deputies complicit in the murder of the people in Gaza.
The time has come to say very clearly that if a woman or child is killed in Gaza, then the Jewish Board of Deputies, who are complicit, will feel the wrath of the people of SA with the age old Biblical teaching of an eye for an eye. The time has come for the conflict to be waged everywhere the Zionist supporters fund and condone the war killing machine of Israel."

forces suffer heavy casualties trying to capture the city of Ilovaisk in the Donetsk region. Pro-Russian forces had encircled them, and an agreement was reportedly reached by both sides to allow the Ukrainians to evacuate from inside what became known as the 'Ilovaisk Kettle.' However, that deal is not honoured and 366 Ukrainian soldiers are killed (according to the Ukrainian military) by pro-Russian forces while trying to escape in what many describe as a massacre.

Geneva Report
"Between 8 July and 26 August, 2014, Israeli forces conducted an estimated 60,664 raids (launched from land, air and sea) into the Gaza Strip. This report documents that in many cases, these attacks were indiscriminate. Not only did Israeli forces fail to take sufficient measures to protect noncombatants, including children and the disabled, but in a number of instances they deliberately targeted locations with concentrations of civilians. Reports from physicians on the ground strongly suggest that Israel deployed “unconventional weapons” (nail bombs and DIME munitions), which are designed to cause maximum damage and thus are not considered permissible in densely populated areas -- either legally or morally..."

31: In West Bank, Palestine – Israel announces its expropriation/annexation of 400 hectares (988 acres / 4,000 dunams) of Palestinian land without compensation, which has been farmed by Palestinian families for many generations. Israel Radio states that the land seizure is in retaliation for the "killing of the three Jewish teens by Hamas", but the murder of these three at 10:25 pm on June 12 by Marwan Qawasmeh and Amar Abu Aisha of Hebron in their Hyundai (see details above on that date) had no connection to Hamas, although it was used as a pretext by Israel to turn the West Bank upside down in an apparent search, to provoke Hamas, which led to the Gaza war with its civilian devastation.

September 1, Monday:
In Brussels – Gianni Pittella, leader of the second largest party in the European Parliament states after a two-day visit to Israel and some Palestinian territory –
"We are shocked at the announcements from the Israeli government about building new [Jewish] settlement units and expropriating Palestinian land. This policy can only create more extremism, ... The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has to be respected and allowing full access for humanitarian aid to Gaza must be an immediate priority. There is no solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict without lifting the blockade on Gaza, which is currently an open-air prison for 1.7 million people. In this context, we also urge the Israeli authorities to allow European Parliament delegations to visit Gaza."

In the USA – Fake prophecy teacher Ervin Baxter propagates the absolute nonsense that the Palestinians (which would include the Spirit-filled Christians among them) are identified with the Antichrist with reference to Daniel's End-time prophecy –
"The Bible indicates that the peace agreement between Israelis and the Palestinians will be a seven-year agreement. Apparently, leaving Jews to live in Judea under the Palestinian government will work for the first three and one-half years. However, when the Abomination of Desolation occurs halfway through the seven-year agreement, Palestinian anger will be ignited. Palestinians will launch brutal attacks against those Jews living in their midst. That’s the reason Jesus warned the Jews of Judea that they would have to run for their lives, saying, 'Then shall be great tribulation such as never has been before nor ever again shall be'." (quoted from his misleading 'Jerusalem Prophecy College' blog).
The prophetic instruction of Jesus in Matthew 24, to which he refers, was given privately only to Christ's disciples (not to the Jewish people), and He had previously made it very clear that even His own mother did not qualify unless she personally believed! (Matt:12:46-50), so it was certainly NOT addressed to Israel then in any sense and certainly not to the Zionist fake Israel of today which has no continuity with the Israel of Holy Scripture! (See also the Hagee Heresy).

The funding for the sale to Israel will come from the military package and will be paid until the end of November 2016. The United States provides Israel with some $8.5 million in military aid per day. The cost of this deal is estimated at $82 million, by which the Israeli Air Force will receive thousands of G-DAM model smart bombs.
29: In Israel – The former head of Israel's internal security agency Shin Bet, CARMI GILLON, launches a scathing attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, slamming him as an "egomaniac".
"Israel is headed by a group of pyromaniacs and is being led by an egomaniac to its final destruction ...
The continuation of the radical and messianic policy on the Temple Mount
will bring about a Gog and Magog war against the Jewish people"
Gillon's remarks came during a demonstration against the controversial "Jewish State Law" organised by Israel's Labour Party, Meretz (part of the Peace Now group), outside Netanyahu's own residence in Jerusalem;

That Night: In
Apartheid–Israel Attack
Jerusalem, Israel – The Max Rayne Hand in Hand Bilingual School for Jewish-Arab education in Israel is attacked by fascist Jews, burning two first-grade classrooms, text-books, and graffitying hateful statements against Arabs and co-existence on the school walls . . . Originally the brainchild of an American Jew named Lee Gordon and Amin Khalaf, an Israeli Arab activist, it is now a model for a small but growing educational trend. There are now five Hand in Hand campuses – in Haifa, Wadi Ara, and the Galilee as well as Jerusalem and, most recently, in Jaffa – educating more than a thousand students a year.
30: In Canada – Canada’s ambassador for religious freedom, ANDREW BENNETT, warns that Russian security officials have been found sitting in the back of Kiev Patriarch Orthodox churches taking notes during liturgies with the goal of intimidating worshippers and the clergy. (The Russian Orthodox Church fell prey to the same intimidation process).
In other scenarios, Russian officials are going door-to-door in Crimean neighbourhoods seeking out what they term 'extremist' Christian literature.

In Israel
Jewish burial society Chevra Kadisha presents their proposal, at a Jewish National Burial Society Conference, for burial tunnels because so many Jews choose to be buried in Israel (about 35,000 Jews each year, of which about 3,500 in Jerusalem) that the lack of space requires the creation of burial tunnels. Two 59-metre-long, six-and-a-half-metre-high burial tunnels able to accommodate 300 graves each, are approved and will be fully built within three months. Additional underground graves will also be planned in the long-term that could bury up to 22,000 additional bodies.

Late Monday 1: In the USA – The FBI warns U.S. businesses that hackers have used malicious software to launch destructive attacks in the United States, following a devastating cyberattack last week at Sony Pictures Entertainment. The five-page, confidential "flash" warning issued to businesses provides some technical details about the malicious software that was used in the attack. The FBI apparently suspects North Korea.
In the USA
The US government's debt, from annually spending more than its income, now amounts to an $11 Trillion indebtedness. The US government debt is rolled over when it comes due (a 30-year trend), so that investors continue to receive interest payments but never get the money back, because the US Government does not have it, because it’s still spending more money than it takes in via taxes.
This has now swelled the international bond market (debt financed as an 'investment') to over $700 Trillion.

19, at 07:43 Moscow time: In Russia – Roskosmos launches South Africa's secret military satellite Condor–E for (referred to as Kondor-E in Russia) all-weather 'battle-field' surveillance: the R1.14-billion so-called Flute Project, although South Africa is not involved in any military conflict.
Project Condor places "South Africa in a position to conduct its own aerial surveillance in Africa, potentially right up to Israel for strategic military purposes". The satellite system (costing about $100m or £65m), first proposed eight years ago, has been reported as being the pet project of Lieutenant General 'Mojo' Moretti Motau, former head of South African military intelligence, who has now retired and until June 2014 sat on the board of the weapons firm Armscor.

South Africa spies on
its own government
Those in the dark appear to have included South Africa’s National Intelligence Agency (now called State Security Agency), but a South African agent with access to Russian military intelligence was able to help, according to a now leaked espionage report marked “top secret” and dated 28 August 2012.

US attack on
press freedom
23: Sarah Harrison, investigations editor for Wikileaks, Section Editor Joseph Farrell, and senior journalist and spokesperson Kristinn Hrafnsson, receive notice that Google has handed over all their emails and metadata to the United States government on the back of alleged 'conspiracy' and 'espionage' warrants carrying up to 45 years in prison.
The US government claims universal jurisdiction to apply its Espionage Act, general Conspiracy statute and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act to journalists and publishers –
a threatening precedent for press freedoms around the world.

In Russia
Russian President Putin orders to fully equip the land-based component of Russia's nuclear triad with advanced intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) by 2021. He states: "In mid-term perspective – by 2021 – we need to fully equip land-based strategic nuclear forces with modern weaponry" at a meeting with senior military commanders in Moscow. He also adds that the Russian strategic nuclear forces will receive more than 50 ICBM in 2015, and reaffirms plans to modernize the fleet of Russian strategic bombers and nuclear-powered submarines.(Two were launched in the Black Sea earlier this year). A Russian Air Force Base in Belarus will also be opened in 2016 and Su-27 fighters will be based there.

In the USA
United States threat to Palestine
US Secretary of State John Kerry, in response to a phone call from Palestinian Prime Minister Abbas, that Palestine intends applying for UN recognition in January 2015, tells him to again consider a postponement, and hints that the US would veto the proposal if need be and possibly impose economic sanctions on the Palestinians.
Israel's ally
in oppression
30: In the UN Security Council – The Palestinian resolution is presented by Jordan calling for peace with Israel within a year and an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories by late 2017 (in restoration of the 1967 borders) but is vetoed by the United States and opposed by Australia, although eight other members vote in favour of the Palestinian resolution (Russia, China, France, Jordan, Chad, Luxembourg, Argentina and Chile) and five abstain (UK, Lithuania, Nigeria, Korea, Rwanda). Nigeria and Rwanda, abstain at the direct request of the US.
In the absence of a veto by a permanent member (such as by the US),
nine votes are needed to pass a binding resolution in the UN Security Council,
so the US pressure not to support the resolution as applied to Nigeria and Rwanda was effective.

In the Palestinian West Bank – Israel continues to build Jewish settlements in its occupied Palestinian territories,
making a Two-State Solution an impossibility, and thereby sealing its doom as an exclusively Jewish State.
