| • | The liberty of the children of God is to set free all creation from God's curse! – | |
"the creation was subjected
to futility,
not of its own will, but because
of Him who subjected it,
in hope that the creation itself
also will be set free from its slavery to corruption
into the freedom of the glory
of the children of God.
For we know that the whole
creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now." |

| • | In this statement we are told that what we call 'nature' was – | |
"subjected to futility,
not of its own will".

| • | The Bible lets us know that nature is-not-natural!
It is not in the condition for which it was designed. It cannot function
as it was intended to function. |

| • | This is not human abuse that has marred its
function. It is the Lord Himself who has done this, as part of His restriction
of humanity's opportunities, because of sin. |

| • | Before looking at the future newness that
is to engulf all creation, in order to more appreciate the coming change
we should look briefly in our own time at what creation lost as a result
of humanity's rebellion against its Creator: – the curse-effect on the
earth (post-Eve Gen.3:16, post-Adam Gen3:19, post-Flood Gen.9:2-3). |
