In 1999, and again in 2002, Monte Kim Miller of the 'Concerned Christians' cult declares himself to be one of the Two Witnesses of this end-time ministry of 1260 days. He appears to be in hiding except for his web site, so I don't think the world is really aware of his dynamic 'sackcloth' witness.

In 2008, on Friday April 18, Ronald Weinland (of the 'Church of God – PKG' cult) announces that he and his wife Laura are the Two Witnesses of the above quoted end-time ministry of 42 months, but I don't think they are yet dressed in 'sackcloth' either.

says that the real Two Witnesses will both have the authority which was demonstrated through Moses and Elijah –

witness of these Two Witnesses has nothing at all to do with a gospel witness about the mercy of God in Jesus Christ.

This witness is a witness for the prosecution in God's judgment against the ultimate ungodly world which has reached the limit of God's patience with it.

The symbolism in the Bible's description of these Two Witnesses is rich with meaning. Yet the strange inconsistency among so many today, such as the three persons cited above (Monte, Ronald, Laura, and their followers), is that although they are quite ready to understand that the 'fire' described as coming out of the mouths of these Witnesses is completely symbolic, yet they insist that the number 'two' is literally just two people.

A total lack of Biblical perspective may be forgivable, but not if one sets oneself up as a leader of God's people.

Bible is clear as to the special significance of the 'Two' as God's witness in the last 3½ years of this world. It is not that God has any limit at all on His budget or on His manpower!

Arising from the Biblical background of John's vision concerning the Two Witnesses, the number 'two' has an awesome symbolic meaning as the final charge of God against a future Antichrist-worshipping world –

The 'Two' is a God-given judicial principle of minimum witness required to convict and condemn; and this end-time witness is, in-all-this-world's-history, its unique and final condemnation under God's judgment.

Remember the Word which says –

This principle is behind Christ's practical instruction to us for preserving the unity of His people. Any offence which brings disunity, if it cannot be sorted out directly between the persons involved on the issue, it must then move on to –

This is so significant before God that, in resolving disunity among believers, the Lord Jesus Christ gives us His personal guarantee –

These Two Witnesses represent the final witness of God through God's people against the world of Antichrist!

as much as –

•	the 'fire' proceeding from their mouth represents the absolute authority of their rebuke, destroying those who try to stop their witness; and,
•	the 'sackcloth' represents their public mourning over the ungodly character of their reprobate audience in this world; so –
•	the number 'two' represents the legal or judicial condemnation in witness of God's final judgment in history against this world,

which is fulfilled at the end of their 1260 days, or 42 months, or 3½ years of witness –

throughout human history, in addition to being the seducer, Satan has also been the accuser of God's people before the Throne of Heaven in exploiting his accountability to that Throne as a created angelic-being. The Bible tells us that he used this opportunity when God drew his attention to Job (Job 1:9-11;2:4-5), and the Lord Jesus informed Peter that He had countered Satan's request before the Throne for access to him to 'sift you like wheat' (Luke 22:31). Now, the Two-Witness testimony of the Christian Church turns-the-tables on the Prosecutor of God's people who has been ejected from before the Throne, for now is the prosecution-witness of God's people against the works of Satan where Satan himself has held sway and to which he is now confined, and knows his time is short! (3½-years of 360-days each, or 1260-days exactly!).
